Mormons gone bad … Very bad.
Angela Hill (AKA Atwood) came from a traditional, conservative Mormon family. Somewhere along the way, though, things went a little awry.
In particular, Angela got hooked on drugs. She got clean, though, and seemed to be turning things around.
Then she met Logan McFarland. Not only did he get her back on drugs, but the two embarked on a multi-state crime spree.
In particular, they committed burglary, murdered an elderly couple during a home invasion, and shot the driver in a botched carjacking. In the second incident, Angela played getaway driver, while Logan did the dirty deed. In the third, it sounds like Angela may have pulled the trigger herself (though, of course, she denied it).
It all ended with a high-speed chase, then the tracking of the couple through the desert. McFarland would subsequently plead guilty, getting life instead of the chair. Angela got 30, with the possibility of parole after 11.
